Handling personal information
Evertrack Family Practice handles personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, and the privacy obligations of the Australian Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics.
Personal information is collected only as necessary to provide professional services, respond to enquiries, and comply with legal and professional obligations. It is not used for marketing purposes and is not sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
Specific frameworks govern particular services. Family Reports prepared under court direction are governed by the Family Law Act 1975 (Cth), the Family Law Regulations 1984 (Cth), and the Court’s procedural framework. Parenting coordination is provided on a non-confidential basis as set out in the Participation Agreement signed at the commencement of each engagement. Mandatory reporting obligations apply where a child is at risk of significant harm.
Information is stored securely and retained in accordance with applicable record-keeping obligations. Information no longer required is securely destroyed or de-identified.
